Texas A&M-Fort Worth Constructs Law & Education Building
The Texas A&M University System is constructing the $185 million Law & Education Building in Fort Worth. Designed by Stantec and Pelli Clarke & Partners, the 238,000-sf facility will accommodate the School of Law and provide expanded capacity for the College of Engineering. Fostering industry partnerships and regional economic growth, the eight-story structure will feature leading-edge environments for professional programs in business, agriculture, health sciences, and emergency management.
Western Washington University Opens Kaiser-Borsari Hall
Western Washington University opened Kaiser Borsari Hall in Bellingham in December of 2024. Designed by Perkins&Will, the $73.6 million building offers dynamic settings for growing programs in computer science, electrical engineering, and energy science and technology. Active learning classrooms foster student interaction and discovery, accompanied by teaching and research labs, breakout areas, a multicultural student lounge, and a collaborative commons.
Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre Opens in Calgary
The Province of Alberta opened the $1.4 billion Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in October of 2024. Designed by Stantec and DIALOG, the state-of-the art complex provides 2 million sf of space for research, treatment, and educational services. This hub for world-class oncology care and innovation offers 100 patient exam rooms, 12 radiation vaults, 90 chemotherapy seats, and over 160 inpatient beds.
UC San Francisco Plans Life Sciences Building
The University of California is planning to construct the UCSF Life Sciences Building as part of a major redevelopment of the former Dogpatch Power Station in San Francisco. The transformative facility will bring research, innovation, primary and specialty care clinics, and world-class cancer treatment to a new waterfront destination. Standing eight stories above ground, the structure will include two basement levels for a state-of-the-art proton therapy center that will begin operations in 2029.
University of North Texas at Dallas Constructs STEM Building
The University of North Texas at Dallas is constructing the $100 million STEM Building to provide current and future students with expanded learning opportunities in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Stantec is providing integrated design services for the 128,000-sf facility, which will offer up to 20 general purpose “high-flex” classrooms, nine teaching labs, three research labs, and numerous collaboration spaces. Adaptable wet labs will leverage modular infrastructure to accommodate a variety of biology and chemistry courses.
