Ivanhoé Cambridge and Lendlease will break ground in summer of 2022 on a 320,000-sf life sciences facility in Boston. Designed by SGA, the nine-story building will provide state-of-the-art labs, offices, and collaboration spaces for biomedical and pharmaceutical tenants. Offering BSL-1 and BSL-2 research environments, the amenity-rich structure will include a multipurpose ground floor, a parking garage, and numerous outdoor areas. The sustainably designed facility will feature a reflective high-performance facade to optimize energy efficiency and enhance occupant comfort. Sited on a 1.15-acre parcel purchased in March of 2021 for $67 million, the project will have an estimated value of $500 million upon completion.
Strengthening an emerging life sciences cluster in the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods, 60 Guest Street is one of the last sites to be developed as part of the master plan for Boston Landing. This transformative mixed-use district benefits from robust transit links and myriad retail and entertainment venues.
