Mercer University broke ground in May of 2022 on the 65,000-sf Moye Pharmacy and Health Sciences Center in Atlanta. Located on the Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional Campus in Atlanta, the collaborative facility will feature flexible classrooms that can easily accommodate diverse pedagogies ranging from didactic instruction to active team-based learning. Accelerating the university's interprofessional education initiatives, the building will include a simulation and clinical skills lab where students can train in a variety of settings, as well as breakout rooms and study areas for group or individual work. The second floor will house consolidated faculty and administrative offices relocated from three existing structures. Completion is expected in 2023. The $36.8 million project also includes the renovation of 18,500 sf in the DuVall Building to provide additional research space for the College of Pharmacy.
