Bowling Green State University dedicated the $44.2 million Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Center in September of 2020 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Designed by The Collaborative and Perkins+Will, the 89,800-sf project included the construction of a 50,000-sf addition and the renovation of Hanna Hall to create a new home for the Schmidthorst College of Business. Fostering a culture of engagement, creativity, and entrepreneurship, the three-story structure offers active learning classrooms, innovation labs, a trading suite, conference rooms, collaboration spaces, and a multistory atrium. Reflecting the modern corporate environment, the Maurer Center will enable the delivery of a progressive pedagogy based on experiential education. The technology-rich facility houses the Paul J. Hooker Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, the Risk Management Institute, the Supply Chain Institute, the Center for Regional Development, as well as providing office and meeting space for the Business Analytics Center. Mosser Construction was the construction manager at risk for the project, which broke ground in October of 2018.
