Collin College Builds Wylie Campus

Collin College is building a 339,000-sf campus in Wylie, Texas. Designed by Page Southerland Page to provide dynamic and flexible learning environments for programs in science, engineering, information technology, fine arts, education, and health care, the project comprises three multi-story instructional facilities including a student center, a campus commons, and a library. Wellness and sustainable design strategies will be incorporated throughout the buildings, which will offer specialized classrooms, social stairs, and interaction spaces illuminated by natural light. A central utility plant will also be built. Skanska USA Building is the construction manager at risk for the project and the value of the construction contract is $131 million. Completion is expected in June of 2020.
