Infinity Breaks Ground on Cleanroom Facility

Infinity Cleanroom Solutions broke ground on an 11,500-sf molding and assembly plant in December of 2008. Providing certified Class 100,000 and 10,000 cleanroom space, the project represents an expansion of the manufacturer’s existing campus in Mount Vernon, Ind. Completion is expected in June of 2009.

Cooper University Hospital Opens Pavilion

Cooper University Hospital opened the first five floors of the $220 million Pavilion in December of 2008. Located in Camden, N.J., the 10-story building features 12 surgical suites, 33 private inpatient rooms, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a healing garden, and a three-story atrium. The top five floors will be finished as needed. The project was designed by Ewing Cole.

Vestas Plans Portland Headquarters

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas will locate its new 500,000-sf headquarters in Portland, Ore. LEED Platinum sustainable design certification will be sought for the $250 million facility. Vestas will also open an R&D facility in Boston to develop generators, converters, and control technologies for next-generation wind turbines.

MedBuild Provides Modular Imaging Facilities

MedBuild announced a new product line of imaging buildings in December of 2008. The modular facilities are designed to accommodate specific pieces of imaging equipment for all manufacturers. Designed to fast track the acquisition of new imaging equipment for both manufacturers and radiologists, the buildings are pre-configured and include RF and magnetic shielding. The modular facilities enable institutions to specify the device and have a turnkey solution for imaging equipment housing. MedBuild, the healthcare division of Modular Space Corporation, is based in Berwyn, Pa.
