Louisiana State University broke ground in March of 2024 on the Our Lady of the Lake Health Interdisciplinary Science Building in Baton Rouge. Designed by EskewDumezRipple, the $148 million facility will offer leading-edge environments for STEM education and discovery. The four-story, 200,000-sf structure will drive innovation in five key focus areas: geology and geophysics, chemistry, biological sciences, astronomy, and mathematics and physics. Featuring next-generation research labs, the development will house a visualization suite, a theoretical physics institute, and space for collaboration with private companies. The highly transparent structure will also include teaching labs, four active learning classrooms, and a 250-seat lecture theater.

Created in partnership with Our Lady of the Lake Health and LCMC Health, the transformative project will also house the relocated LSU Dairy Store and a dining commons. MAPP is acting as general contractor with occupancy anticipated in late 2025.
