Elanco Animal Health broke ground in April of 2022 on its global headquarters campus in Greenfield, Ind. Designed by RATIO Architects and CSO to serve as the foundation of a planned animal health epicenter, the $100 million complex will support collaborative R&D with business incubator High Alpha and AgriNovus, the state of Indiana’s food and agriculture initiative. Sited on 40 acres of the former General Motors Stamping Plant site, the development will include a six-story, 220,000-sf office building that integrates new models for post-pandemic working with numerous indoor and outdoor settings to accommodate neurodiversity. Adjoining innovation facilities will offer flexible lab environments for the discovery of new medications, diagnostic tools, and nutritional solutions. Extensive glazing will transmit natural light to interior spaces connected by active circulation paths to optimize occupant health and wellbeing. Built with renewable and low-carbon materials, the sustainably designed project will feature a timber roof structure, a sophisticated stormwater management system, and inviting green spaces. Construction will begin in mid-2022 with occupancy expected by 2025.
