The Ohio State University Plans Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center

The Ohio State University is planning to build the $155.9 million Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center in Columbus. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Acock Associates Architects, the project includes the renovation of 150,000 sf in Hamilton Hall and construction of an adjacent 100,000-sf facility to create a collaborative hub for interprofessional education. Accommodating programs in medicine, nursing, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, public health, and veterinary medicine, the center will feature 33 interdisciplinary classrooms with advanced simulation technologies, a 6,000-sf informal learning space, and a 125-seat grand reading room. Gilbane Building Company is the construction manager for the phased project.
