Rochester Institute of Technology is constructing the Global Cybersecurity Institute in Rochester, N.Y. Designed by LaBella Associates, the 45,000-sf facility will provide technology-rich teaching, research, and administrative space for the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. The three-story building will feature a state-of-the-art cyber range, a cybersecurity learning center, a security operations hub, and an air-gapped computer lab for malware analysis. The collaborative facility will also provide five research labs, classrooms, a 200-person conference center, a 30-person boardroom, student lounges, study areas, and space for student clubs. LeChase Construction broke ground on the design-build project in June of 2019 and completion is expected in summer of 2020.
