Texas A&M University Constructs 21st Century Classroom Building

Texas A&M University will begin construction in summer of 2018 on the 21st Century Classroom Building in College Station. Designed by Perkins+Will in collaboration with Bora Architects, the $85 million academic facility will provide more than 2,200 classroom seats across 10 classrooms ranging from 72 to 630 seats. The 120,672-sf building will provide active learning classrooms, teaching arenas, tiered classrooms, a traditional large lecture hall, and an additional 600 seats in collaborative study spaces both inside and outside the building. The project will also house the Center for Teaching Excellence, Instructional Technology Services, and Instructional Media Services to provide faculty support. Occupancy is expected in fall of 2020.
