Seattle University is planning to begin construction in June of 2019 on the 110,000-sf Center for Science and Innovation. Designed by EYP, the four-story facility will provide laboratories and collaboration spaces for the College of Science and Engineering, as well as space for the Albers School of Business and Economics. Funded in part by a $20 million donation, the $105.5 million project will house an expandable active-learning classroom, a 1,120-sf maker space, the 450-sf Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, and the 2,300-sf Center for Community Engagement. Occupancy is expected in fall of 2021.
