Published 11/7/2016

The University of Texas at Arlington broke ground in October of 2016 on the $125 million Science and Engineering Innovation and Research Building. Designed by Page and ZGF Architects to support team-based learning and discovery, the six-story, 220,000-sf facility will provide two floors of instructional space, with research activities occupying four floors and a basement level. Researchers from the colleges of Engineering, Science, and Nursing and Health Innovation will occupy 12 collaborative neighborhoods, with a bridge connection to the existing Life Science Building providing easy access to the Animal Care Facility. The building will also provide teaching labs, lecture halls, and collaboration spaces. The construction manager for the project is Hunt Construction Group of Dallas. Occupancy is expected in fall of 2018.
