JTC Develops Tuas Medical Equipment Cluster

JTC Corporation will develop an 185,000-sm medical equipment manufacturing cluster in the Tukang Innovation Park in Singapore. The first 75,000-sm phase is slated for completion by 2013. Additionally, JTC will construct an Offshore Marine Center in the Tuas district to provide companies with waterfront access facilities. Completion of the center is expected in 2011

Marquette University Dedicates Law School

Marquette University dedicated the $85 million Eckstein Hall in September of 2010. The four-story facility includes a technology-rich library, a broadcast facility, faculty offices, and lecture halls for Marquette's school of law. Ground was broken on the project in 2008.

NAVFAC Builds $394 Million Military Hospital

Naval Facilities Engineering Command has awarded the joint venture of Clark/McCarthy a $394 million contract to design and build a new hospital at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California. Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the 500,000-sf medical center will provide inpatient care, an emergency department, operating rooms, an ICU, and specialty care. The project includes construction of a central utilities plant and a 1,500 space parking structure.

NOAA Builds Pacific Regional Center Facility in Honolulu

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has selected Walsh Construction Company of Chicago to build the final phase of the Pacific Regional Center on Ford Island in Honolulu. The project includes construction of the main facility at the site and is supported by $131.9 million in federal stimulus funding. Existing renovated space will be integrated with the new building to great a 300,000-sf lab and office facility.

Baylor Health Builds McKinney Medical Center

Baylor Health is building the $213 million McKinney Medical Center in McKinney, Texas. The 332,000-sf facility will provide women's services, cardiovascular care, orthopaedics, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology and a full-service emergency department. Completion is expected in July of 2012.
