Dental Benefits Providers Relocates HQ to Rockville

In October, Bethesda-based Dental Benefits Providers is relocating its headquarters and approximately 300 workers to 75,000 sf in Rockville's new King Farm Development. The health care company is a division of United Healthcare of Minneapolis, one of the largest dental benefit providers in the nation.

Freddie Mac Plans Herndon Data Center

Freddie Mac is planning a new 100,000-sf data center on the site of the former Exodus-Global Center in Herndon. Design of interior improvements and architecture, engineering, and commissioning of the building's mechanical and electrical infrastructure will be provided by EYP Mission Critical Facilities. EYP designed the original Exodus-Global Center facility.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Breaks Ground on New HQ

The General Services Administration broke ground on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms' 422,000-sf Northeast Washington headquarters on April 10. Slated for completion in 2004, the $103-million project is aimed to revitalize the eastern corridor of the city. The facility will house 1,100 government employees.

University of Phoenix Atlanta Campus Relocated

The University of Phoenix, a subsidiary of Phoenix-based Apollo Group Inc., will relocate its Atlanta campus to a permanent North Fulton County location on April 19th. The new 26,000-sf facility is comprised of 16 classrooms, each accommodating 25 students. The school holds classes in the evenings Monday through Thursday.
