UTSA Develops Student Housing

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is planning a new student housing project. Phase one, a $16-million, 500-bed complex, will be built in summer of 2002. Phase two consists of a $25-million, 750-room project. Phase three includes an additional 500 rooms. UTSA, San Antonio’s only major public university, hopes to change its status as primarily a commuter school with the new dormitory facilities. The University is currently engaged in an expansion totalling over $175 million in new construction, half of which is devoted to a new science building.

Indianapolis Airport Authority Plans New Terminal

The Indianapolis Airport Authority has selected Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum (HOK) as Master Designer for a new $939-million terminal at Indianapolis International Airport. The new terminal will be built in the midfield of the airport between the two main runways. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2007. HOK will provide a comprehensive design solution for the entire development, with a primary focus on developing a unique and compelling gateway experience for the Indianapolis air traveler. Perrier Develops South San Francisco Distribution Hub

Perrier Group of America will consolidate its San Francisco operations with the development of a new 10,000-sf office building and a 16,000-sf distribution center. Formerly home to an industrial gas supplier, the three-acre site will also provide warehousing and parking for Perrier’s truck fleet.
