North Carolina Central University opened the $38.6 million School of Business in February of 2024 in Durham. Designed by Vines Architecture, the 76,608-sf building features a trading lab, a 600-sf business incubator, a behavioral research suite, innovation labs, and executive conference rooms. Smart classrooms equipped with integrated audiovisual technologies actively support both remote and in-person instruction.

Accommodating programs in business, cybersecurity, real estate, hospitality, and tourism administration, the three-story structure includes a teaching kitchen and dining room, collaboration spaces, academic offices, and a rooftop terrace. A 200-seat auditorium offers a dynamic venue for lectures and events. Fostering engagement with corporate and community leaders, the facility also houses the Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and the Financial Education Center.

Ground was broken in June of 2021 on the project, which was delivered by a joint venture of D.A. Everett and Barnhill Contracting Company.
