The University of Southern California broke ground in November of 2024 on the $200 million Bloom Football Performance Center in Los Angeles. Designed by HNTB, the 163,000-sf facility will position USC to recruit top national talent as part of its transition to the Big Ten Conference. A strategic redevelopment of the John McKay Center will create a vibrant new home for Trojan Football and support the university's entire student-athlete population. By blending operational functionality with enhanced player experience, the Bloom Center is expected to set a new standard for sports facilities.

The three-story structure will feature a full-height lobby with immersive displays and graphics. Accommodating two full-length practice fields, the facility will provide a sports medicine suite, a locker room with hydrotherapy and recovery pools, and a weight room with seamless access to the turf fields. Lounges on multiple levels, both indoor and outdoor, will promote relaxation and team cohesion, complemented by a two-story team meeting room and 12 position-specific meeting rooms. Dedicated office spaces for staff will overlook the outdoor terrace and practice fields.

Clark Construction is acting as general contractor and occupancy is expected in summer of 2026. The Bloom Football Performance Center is the centerpiece of the Athletics West capital development, which includes the construction of a new stadium for USC Baseball at Dedeaux Field.
