Apollo and GeneSuites Create Catalyst BioCampus

Apollo Global Management is partnering with GeneSuites to create the Catalyst BioCampus in Holly Springs, N.C. Located in the Oakview Innovation Park, the 446,000-sf development will provide high-performance shell space where life science companies can accelerate the production of next-generation therapeutics. Apollo and GeneSuites paid $40.5 million in December of 2022 for the property, which comprises two 105,000-sf buildings and seven acres for future expansion. The addition of sophisticated mezzanines and leading-edge MEP systems will expand each existing structure to 153,000 sf. Optimizing scalability and flexibility, the cGMP complex will accommodate bioreactor capacities of up to 16,000 liters with associated downstream capabilities. Completion is expected in spring of 2023. A subsequent phase of construction will deliver a five-story, 140,000-sf facility housing process development suites, labs, and offices. CBRE is acting as exclusive leasing agent for the campus.
