Duquesne University broke ground in March of 2022 on the $60 million College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pittsburgh. Designed by The S/L/A/M Collaborative and WTW Architects, the six-story, 80,000-sf facility will offer experiential and immersive learning environments as well as areas for formal classroom instruction. A state-of-the-art simulation hospital will leverage advanced visualization technologies to train the next generation of physicians. Supporting a progressive, holistic pedagogy, the collaborative structure will provide a 180-seat team lecture hall as well as indoor and outdoor venues for student interaction. The project will also include the renovation of 20,000 sf of existing space to accommodate the Center for Student Wellbeing and a health sciences library. Occupancy is expected in fall of 2024.
