York University is building the CAD$50.5 million School of Continuing Studies in Toronto. Acting as a gateway to the Keele Campus, the 97,000-sf building will collocate the school's programs in a single integrated facility offering 39 classrooms, breakout rooms, study spaces, student lounges, and faculty and staff offices. Designed by Perkins+Will to support lifelong learning, the project will accommodate the university’s English-language pathway for international students as well offering professional education courses in fields including cybersecurity, data analytics, machine learning, and risk management. The structure is expected to attain a minimum of LEED Gold sustainable design certification. Construction began on the School of Continuing Studies in March of 2020 and occupancy is expected in fall of 2021.
