Blinn College is planning to build the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Innovation Building on the RELLIS campus in Brenham, Texas. Designed by PBK Architects to accommodate programs in engineering, chemistry, physics, microbiology, geology, and health sciences, the 72,000-sf structure will offer 17,000 sf of laboratory space and a 3,000-sf innovation hub. Featuring a rooftop garden, the three-story building will house a computer science classroom, an information technology lab, nursing simulation suites, and expanded anatomy and physiology facilities. Providing labs for the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham, the project will include a two-story research space for the design and repair of unmanned aerial vehicles. Vaughn Construction will begin construction on the STEI Building in mid-2020 with completion expected in fall of 2021.
