Assumption University is constructing a $13 million health sciences building in Worcester, Mass. Designed by Nault Architects, the 41,000-sf facility will accommodate undergraduate programs in nursing and physician assistant studies, as well as providing students of all academic disciplines with welcoming study spaces, meeting rooms, and collaboration areas. The three-story building will feature technology-rich simulation labs with high-fidelity manikins, practice labs, four interactive classrooms with integrated audiovisual recording capabilities, student assessment rooms, and administrative and faculty offices. The project team includes general contractor Lauring Construction, cost consultant Ellana, mechanical and plumbing engineer Seaman Engineering, structural engineer Bolton and DiMartino, electrical engineer ART Engineering, civil engineer Quinn Engineering, and acoustical and audiovisual consultant Cavanaugh Tocci. Ground was broken on the facility in May of 2019 and completion is expected in fall of 2020.
