Purdue University will begin construction in spring of 2020 on the $108 million Veterinary Teaching Hospital in West Lafayette, Ind. Accommodating equine, small animal, and farm animal patients, the 175,290-gsf facility will support translational research programs to enable the development of new therapeutics and technologies that may have applications for human health. Designed to meet the needs of students, faculty, and clients, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital will include space for diagnostic imaging, intensive care, nuclear medicine, inpatient treatment, and orthopedic and general surgery. The project will include the renovation of 47,500 gsf in the adjacent Lynn Hall, with the small animal hospital being built in a second phase of construction. Occupancy is expected in March of 2022.
