Lancer Sales USA introduced a new line of laboratory steam sterilizers in August of 2015. Developed for the high performance sterilization of labware, processed materials, and research byproducts, the sterilizers can be installed in newly constructed laboratories or in existing facilities. The units are available in single and double door pass-through configurations with four cabinet sizes, and all models stand 74” high with vanishing vertical doors that eliminate the need for elevation clearance. The cabinets are designed for single or double-wall recessed installation with direct connection to the facility steam supply. Optional electric steam generators and vacuum pumps are available to meet user preferences. All models feature microprocessor controls and fingertip accessible multifunction displays of cycle performance. Preprogrammed cycles are provided for gravity, vacuum, and liquid applications. Administrator access permits custom cycle addition or modification as required. Analog pressure gauges monitor jacket and chamber pressure independent of the electronic system.
The sterilizers include onboard documentation to create a permanent record all cycle parameters, start and complete times, interim phase and transition pressures and temperatures, and other critical functions. Thermal printers, data ports, and NetCOM communications permit hard copy and electronic recordkeeping at the sterilizer or via a remote monitoring system. Engineering considerations to enhance safety and performance include:
- Safety interlocks and valves to prevent unsafe operation or over pressurization.
- Automatic systems check-out and approval prior to cycle start.
- One-touch cycle abort on demand.
- Options and accessories include water-saving systems, independent load probes, supplemental liquid ring vacuum pumps, load shelves, load cars, and mobile load car trolleys.
