University of Birmingham and Rolls-Royce Build High Temperature Research Centre

The University of Birmingham broke ground in March of 2014 on the $100 million High Temperature Research Centre in Coventry in the United Kingdom. Created in partnership with Rolls-Royce, the 62,431-sf advanced manufacturing research facility will provide laboratories for the casting, design, and simulation of aerospace engine components such as turbines. The center will also support collaborative education and research with other academic and industry partners.
