Saint Vincent College Opens Science Pavilion

Saint Vincent College opened the $39 million Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion in March of 2013 in Latrobe, Pa. Housing the Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computing, the 102,000-gsf facility provides classrooms, lecture halls, instrumentation suites, offices, conference rooms, and labs for chemistry, biology, physics, and life sciences. The center was designed by Maclachlan, Cornelius & Filoni with RFD (Research Facilities Design) as laboratory design consultant. Construction began on the facility in April of 2009. LEED Gold sustainable design certification will be sought for the interdisciplinary project, which links four previously separate buildings.
