Spectra Tech, a provider of facility services and solutions for the federal government, has announced the company's launch as part of a joint venture with Bering Straits Native Corporation. Spectra Tech provides a single source for secured facility services and solutions, including facility relocation management; information and technology; facility operations and maintenance; modular building systems; and construction. Spectra Tech has worked with a number of government agencies to manage relocation, renovation and IT support services, and also successfully maintains highly-specialized and dedicated facilities such as R&D laboratories, clean rooms and hospital operating rooms.
Spectra Tech recently completed, with Bering Straits Native Corporation, the relocation of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) activities from the various National Capital Region (NCR) locations, to its new facility at Fort George G. Meade, Md. The new facility houses the national capital region headquarters operations of DISA, as well as the Joint Task Force for Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO) program offices. Spectra Tech successfully managed the schedule for the entire relocation effort, while relocating approximately 4,600 personnel on schedule and without disruption to the DISA workforce.
