University of Minnesota Plans Cancer/Cardiovascular Research Facility

The University of Minnesota is planning to construct the $200 million Cancer/Cardiovascular Research Facility in Minneapolis. Construction will begin on the project in August of 2011 with completion slated for June of 2013. Housing research laboratories with advanced instrumentation, the project is part of Phase 2 of the University’s master plan for the Biomedical Discovery District. The architects for Phase 2 are Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects of Seattle and Architectural Alliance of Minneapolis.
