Princeton University began construction in March of 2010 on the Neuroscience and Psychology Buildings in Princeton, N.J. Designed by José Rafael Moneo Arquitecto of Madrid, the $180 million complex will house the interdisciplinary Princeton Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Psychology. The 248,000-gsf project will provide research facilities, faculty offices, conference rooms, and instructional space. A joint-use facility at the lowest level of the neuroscience facility will house advanced imaging and microscopy labs including three fMRI suites. LEED Silver sustainable design certification will be sought for the project. Completion is expected in spring of 2013.
