NIH Proposes National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) proposed the creation of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences in December of 2010. The center was recommended by the the Scientific Management Review Board as part of an initiative to streamline the structure of the NIH. The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences will house existing NIH programs including the National Center for Research Resource's Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA).
