The €200 million ALBA Synchrotron Light Facility is under construction in Cerdanyola del Vallès in Spain. Construction began on the project in 2006 with completion expected in mid-2011. The facility is being constructed by the CELLS consortium and is co-financed by the Catalan and Spanish governments.
