GALVESTON, Texas
The University of Texas Medical Branch's National Biocontainment Training Center was awarded an additional $5 million in federal funding in December of 2009. The award brings the total federal investment in the program to $11.75 million. The National Biocontainment Training Center provides training for research scientists and support personnel working in national and international BSL-2, BSL-3 and BSL-4 labs.
