Utah State University Builds Life Science Building

Utah State University is building a $60 million life science research facility in North Logan. Construction began on the 110,000-sf project in November of 2008 with completion expected in early 2011. Developed in partnership with Utah Science, Technology and Research (USTAR), the building will house a nanofabrication facility, vivarium, research laboratories, offices, and incubator space. The project will provide laboratories for USTAR research groups including the Center for Advanced Nutrition, the Synthetic Bio-Manufacturing Center, and the Veterinary Diagnostics and Infectious Disease team. LEED Gold sustainable design certification will be sought for the facility. The construction manager and general contractor is Gramoll Construction.
