University of Louisville Opens Clinical and Translational Research Building

The University of Louisville opened the 300,000-sf Clinical and Translational Research Building in October of 2009. Located on the university's health sciences campus in downtown Louisville, the $143.1 million project was designed by Arrasmith, Judd, Rapp, Chovan of Louisville and SmithGroup of Detroit with Messer Construction of Cincinnati as general contractor. Ground was broken for the facility in February of 2006. The seven-story Clinical and Translational Research Building houses large open laboratories, research offices, seminar rooms, and a spacious lobby.
