LOWELL, MASS.
The University of Massachusetts, Lowell is planning to construct the $100 million Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center (ETIC). Designed by CUH2A, the 100,000-sf project will house academic instruction, bio- and nano-manufacturing space, R&D laboratories, and a business incubator. LEED Silver certification for sustainable design will be sought for the facility. The project is part of a campus expansion plan that includes new residence halls, two additional academic facilities, buildings for life sciences and medical device research, and a parking garage adjacent to ETIC.
