Siteman Cancer Center Offers World-Class Care in St. Louis
Siteman Cancer Center celebrated the opening of a new world-class destination for cancer care in St. Louis in September of 2024. Created in partnership between Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine, the 657,250-sf facility enables an innovative model of care that allows a patient to interact with a multidisciplinary team on a single visit. This approach prioritizes patients’ comfort and convenience, while reducing the need for additional appointments.
Carnegie Mellon University Constructs Robotics Innovation Center
Carnegie Mellon University is constructing the $100 million Robotics Innovation Center in Pittsburgh. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the three-story, 150,000-sf facility will feature reconfigurable high-bay labs and flexible R&D venues that address robotic systems at different scales. Open wet labs will allow interdisciplinary teams to engage in group projects, supported by a range of specialized shops and instrumentation suites.
Marshall University Opens Smith Center for Business and Innovation
Marshall University opened the Brad D. Smith Center for Business and Innovation in January of 2024 in Huntington. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the 77,000-gsf facility provides the Lewis College of Business with state-of-the-art finance and computer labs, a maker space, offices, study areas, and a 360-seat auditorium. Technology-enabled classrooms that range in size from 32 to 96 seats are furnished with flip-top nesting desks on wheels for optimal flexibility.
