
Dr. Scott Perkins is the Senior Director of the Comparative Medicine Services at Tufts University and Tufts Medical Center in Massachusetts. He is also a Clinical Professor in the Department of Comparative Pathobiology at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Dr. Perkins graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine; completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Comparative Medicine at MIT; and obtained a Master in Public Health from Boston University. For the past 31 years, he has been actively engaged as a laboratory animal veterinarian for several academic institutions in both New York and the Boston area. Dr. Perkins’ other professional activities include being a Past-President of the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science, a former Director-At-Large on the Board of Directors of the AALAS Foundation, a Past-President of the New England Branch of AALAS and a committee member of several AALAS and ACLAM committees.
