Dr. Corinna Beale got her DVM from Tufts Veterinary School in 2009, earned her surgical research specialist certificate in 2014, and become a diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine in 2020. Corinna is Director of Preclinical Services at Tufts, Boston. Corinna provides daily veterinary care for the lab animals at Tufts Boston and programmatic oversight of the surgical research lab, technical services, preclinical Imaging Core, and Rodent Breeding. 

In her current role, she is responsible for implementing general health care for the animals and developing appropriate animal models for research including drug and device development studies. As part of this work, she serves as a liaison to pre-clinical external collaborators, provides veterinary animal model consultation, document preparation, animal research project development, and surgical assistance in studies involving rodents, rabbits, pigs, cows, ferrets, dogs, sheep, human cadaver specimens and other animal species. Corinna
teaches several wet labs and didactic lectures for the 2nd and 3rd year MS/DVM duel degree lab animal medicine students. She also runs a 1-year post-doc veterinary internship program at Tufts, Boston. Corinna has a special interest in preclinical medical device and pharmaceutical development.
