
Andy is the Associate Director, Animal Facility Operations for Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at MD Anderson Canter, where he has been for the last 16 years of his 30-year career in lab animal. While a student at Texas A&M University where he received his B.S., he started out as an attendant changing and washing cages by hand and progressed through roles as supervisor at two different facilities, before moving into his current position. In Andy’s current role he has managed 3 major vivarium renovations, countless small renovations project, and is currently planning a state of the art 90,000 cage facility. He has held leadership roles at the local and national AALAS level. In addition to presenting at TX Branch AALAS, he has also participated in several platform presentations at National AALAS.
