Genzyme Corporation's new headquarters will be occupying 700,000-sf of Lyme Properties LLC's Kendall Square. The $400 million, 1.3 million-sf development also features a 75,000-sf performing arts and film center.

McKesson HBOC Moves on Pleasant Hill Complex

McKesson HBOC Inc. has moved to secure a maximum of available space at the new Station Oaks complex in Pleasant Hill, Calif. The San Francisco pharmaceutical  giant could acquire the entire 195,000-sf facility near the Pleasant Hill Bart station. Station Oaks has just commenced construction.

Sybase Plans New Corporate Headquarters

Sybase, Inc. has contracted RMW Architecture & Design to design its new corporate headquarters in Dublin, Calif. Two six-story office buildings are planned. Contractor DPR Construction of Redwood City, Calif., is building the $50 million, 420,000-sf project, with additional tenant improvements, due to be completed in November of 2001.

Dept. of Health Services Builds New Richmond Lab

The State of California Department of General Services is working with Pleasanton, Calif.-based Neilsen Dillingham Builders to construct phases I & II of its new Richmond Laboratory Dept. of Health Services. The $115.2 million, 482,000-sf project includes a custom 326,000-sf, seven-building investigation facility, and a multi-building 156,000-sf research and testing facility. Begun in August, 1998, completion is anticipated by project manager NBBJ in November of 2001.
