Pennsylvania State University is initiating a visionary revitalization of the 106,572-seat Beaver Stadium to transform the fan experience and create a vibrant destination for the entire community. Designed by Populous, the $700 million project will position the facility as a premier venue for college football, as well as generating additional revenue for Penn State's athletics programs through year-round external programming. Three new concourses will be created on the west side, more than doubling existing capacity, and new escalators, elevators, and pedestrian ramps will improve vertical circulation. Approximately 75 percent of the seating options will be non-premium, complemented by suites, loge boxes, the 20,000-sf Schuyler Family Club, and the 35,000-sf Marzano Club.

Targeting LEED certification, the sustainable development is being delivered by construction management partners Barton Malow, AECOM Hunt, and Alexander Building Construction Co., with Nations Group as owner's representative and consultant. Elevate is serving as ticketing, seating, and premium strategy consultant. Demolition of the press box, the upper deck, and several ground-level structures began in January of 2025, and completion is anticipated in time for the 2027 football season.
