Georgia Highlands College Constructs STEAM Academic Building

Georgia Highlands College began construction in July of 2017 on a 52,000-sf academic building in Cartersville, Ga.  Designed by Stanley Beaman & Sears, the facility will accommodate programs in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). The project, which is supported by $22.5 million in state funding, will provide laboratories, classrooms, a lecture hall, and study rooms. General contractor Juneau broke ground on the facility in April of 2017 and completion is expected by fall of 2018. Georgia Highlands College is part of the University System of Georgia.
