Auckland University of Technology opened the $98 million Sir Paul Reeves building in March of 2012. Designed by Jasmax, the 12-story, 215,000-sf academic facility provides instructional space for art, design, engineering, computing, mathematics, and creative technologies. The project houses AUT's School of Communications and features flexible lecture halls, television and performance studios, a media center, a broadcasting suite, and informal study areas. The sustainably designed facility uses natural lighting and ventilation as well as advanced building systems and technologies.
