Bangor, Maine
Husson University will open the $11.5 million Living and Learning Center in September of 2012 in Bangor, Maine. The five-story, 66,000-sf facility will provide classrooms, faculty offices, an audio engineering studio, experiential learning suites, and dormitory space. LEED Gold sustainable design certification will be sought for the building, which features abundant natural light, photovoltaic panels, and wastewater heat recovery units. The project was designed by Winton Scott Architects and built by Allied Cook Construction.
