University of Pennsylvania Law School Dedicates Golkin Hall

Published 4/6/2012

The University of Pennsylvania Law School dedicated the $33.5 million Golkin Hall in Philadelphia on April 5, 2012. The 40,000-sf building was designed by Kennedy & Violich Architecture of Boston to promote the collegial and collaborative environment that is central to Penn Law's educational mission. Golkin Hall creates a dramatic new entry to the Penn Law campus and provides an interdisciplinary environment where students can gather and exchange ideas. The building features flexible seminar and interaction spaces, advanced classrooms, and a 344-seat auditorium. LEED sustainable design certification will be sought for the facility, which features abundant natural light, fresh air ventilation, and exterior garden terraces for rainwater retention.
