University Hospitals opened the $260 million Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland in September of 2011. The freestanding facility houses 150 private patient rooms, outpatient care, and the Goodman Discovery Center for Clinical Research. The 10-story, 375,000-sf building is designed to support translational research and provides comprehensive cancer diagnosis and treatment. The Seidman Center features advanced imaging technologies including a PET/MRI machine and two linear accelerators. The facility also houses a robotic surgical suite.
