Mayo Clinic Plans Phoenix Proton Therapy Facility

The Mayo Clinic is planning to break ground in early 2012 on a 300,000-sf cancer treatment facility in Phoenix. The project will include a 30,000-sf concrete vault for proton therapy equipment. Two and a half stories of the facility will be underground with one floor above grade. The center will feature four treatment rooms and its own central plant.
