Lancaster University Arts Institute Attains BREEAM Outstanding

Lancaster University's Institute for Contemporary Arts has attained BREEAM Outstanding sustainable design certification. Designed by Sheppard Robson and built by Morgan Sindall, the $16.1 million, 32,000-sf facility was completed in March of 2011. The project team also included mechanical and electrical engineers Hoare Lea & Partners, structural engineers SKM Consulting, timber structure design-build contractor Eurban Construction, landscape architect Ian White Associates, and Ralph Capper Interiors. Construction began on the project in late 2009.
