Published 5/20/2011

University of Colorado Hospital broke ground on a $400 million expansion of its Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora in May of 2011. The project includes construction of a 12-story, 714,000-sf inpatient tower. A 39,800-sf addition to the existing Cancer Center will also be built. Completion is expected in late 2013. LEED sustainable design will be sought for the facility, which will feature energy efficient building systems and recycled materials. BIM (Building Information Modeling) will be used in the delivery of the project.
